Introducing Lorinda Voges for 4ElementsMedia

The epitome of beautiful and success is Lorinda Voges. The definition of fun, fearless female.
Lorinda Voges
Lorinda Voges is a 34 year old fun, fearless female. Owner of 4ElementsMedia. She started off working in the hospitality industry at the age of 21, and soon after joined FTV in South Africa as their national brand manager. Thereafter she decided to take a leap of faith and start her own company which was at the age of 31.

With no formal education, everything she knows right now, she has taught herself; learnt from others and the internet altogether. Through all of this she has managed to hold the 4EM ship for 4 years and bagged some of the biggest clients you could think. This is why she is The L.A Dosage's first #WCW and should be every day, because she is a force to be reckoned with in the industry together with beauty and brains, she is still breaking through barriers.

This is what she had to say about the few of many achievements she has received along the line and where 4ElementsMedia sees itself in the long run:

:: Tell us more about 4ElementsMedia?

LV: We offer a full spectrum of Brand Awareness services including Celebrity PR, Fashion PR, Beauty PR, Luxury Brand PR, High Profile Events PR and Management, Social Media and Online PR service for nationwide publicity. Not only do we do PR but we also strategize, manage and connect with the brands.

:: Why do you think companies or people need PR?

LV: I don't think people "need" PR as social media already assists most people in getting their own personal PR. However, I do believe if you want to take your brand to the next level, whether it is corporate or personal, you need someone that has the connections with the media as well as the knowledge to do extra brand awareness for you.

:: How is PR different from advertising?

LV: Advertising is paid for. PR is received through networking and relationships; and the agency that you have commissioned to do your PR.

:: What are the agency's strength and weaknesses?

LV: We excel in the work we do. We are passionate and driven; and give anything more than a 100%. Our weakness is that we are still young, so we are a virgin player next to big time agencies.

:: What are the 3 characteristics that have made 4ElementsMedia the success it is right now?

LV: Passion. Professionalism and we have great relationships with both the media and celebrities in South Africa; and we also have a vast number of social media influencers.

:: What has been your biggest achievements/ accomplishments?

LV: My biggest achievements is 4ElementsMedia. I have started this company with no financial support, loans or input; and learnt everything on my own. In terms of accomplishments, I would say launching international brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein in South Africa. And also working on events such as Azzaro and Thierry Mugler.

:: Who are your top 3 clients?

LV: Our top 3 clients are Calvin Klein, The Clarins Group and The Stuttafords Group.

:: How have you managed to use social media to reach and impress traditional media?

LV: I have a passion for social media and understand that people spend most of their times networking from these platforms. I also realized that any brand can reach people by picking the right social media influencers instead of paying thousands of rands on advertising.

:: Where does 4ElementsMedia see itself in 5 years' time?

LV: Being the top fashion PR and Events company in South Africa.

:: How would you advise aspiring PR gurus?

LV: Networking and keeping relationships is essential. Content should be aspiring and fresh.

If Lorinda still isn't your #WCW or #WCE then its time to let her be. It was nonetheless refreshing and a great opportunity to interview this beautiful, fun and fearless female.

Here's to more women breaking barriers in various industries, the way she has in the PR and media industry.

Till next time. . .
