EFC46: The highlights

Burski vs Van Staden| Speechly vs Bright

The L.A Dosage attended the end of year MMA event on the 12th of December at The Carnival City in Johannesburg.

EFC46 was very successful with many fans in attendance and more people placing their bets with Keith Ho BetXchange this year. It was an incredible turnout and all fighters delivered what was expected to the fans. There was consistency from the prelim bouts to the main card, and each fight managed to make the crowds go wild respectively. The passion was very much alive from the fans.

Main card:

Van Staden vs Buirski

Martin Van Staden took to the cage to take on welterweight champion, David Burski for the title match which saw the four-year curse being broken, and Burski remaining the champion. It was a nail-biting fight that kept the crowd on edge, with Van Staden fighting with everything he had and it showed that he brought his all to the fight. It was very close indeed but the welterweight champion still proved why he owns the welterweight belt at the end of the night.

Speechly vs Bright

This was indeed another exciting fight to wrap up the fights for 2015 which saw MMA and EFC legend, Chris Bright stepping into the cage to take on former 2x champion Adam Speechly. This was a fight most of the fans were looking out for, to see if Bright still had it in him despite being out of the cage for 5 years and his age being a talk on the EFC streets.

Speechly remained humble and consistent throughout his fight, showing the fans what he had. But one man had to win at the end of the night, and legend Bright proved the fans wrong by showcasing his experience in the game and showing the crowd that age is just a number. He delivered his skills, technicality, stamina and endurance fairly well and we can hopefully look forward to seeing him in 2016.

Media:

The media was well taken care of throughout the night. The L.A Dosage team would like to thank everyone that made the night possible and a success.

Special thanks to:

Kieren Jacobsen, Graeme Cartmell, Guy Lazarus, Keith Ho BetXchange for all efforts in making The L.A Dosage feel at home.

It's been a great year of fights. We look forward to 2016 as we encounter more incredible fights.

Onwards and forwards!

Till next time. . .
